Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program (required)

• 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or Critical Care (preferred)
• RCP Respiratory Care Practitioner (required)
• RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist (requied) and
• Texas Health Resources Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) are responsible for obtaining/verifying physician order for therapy and validate for appropriateness reviewing available medical records and obtaining pertinent medical history from patient or family evaluating each patient using age and diagnosing appropriate assessment tests and measurement.

In addition to the required qualifications a successful Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will
communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues.
documents aspects of each treatment session in accordance with departmental JCAHO Medicare and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
documents assessments of education needs education provided and patient understanding of education provided in accordance with departmental JCAHO Medicare and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
