Job Summary:

A Registered Nurse specializing in Step Down Units is sought for a night shift position at a healthcare facility located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This role involves providing specialized patient care to individuals recovering from cardiovascular surgeries and managing complex cardiac protocols. Candidates are required to bring their Arkansas nursing license on the first day of employment. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where rapid assessment and response are essential.

Position: Registered Nurse Step Down Unit
Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current Arkansas Licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), at least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting with proficiency in care for Post Cardiovascular (CV) Surgeries, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), Bipaps, utilizing Airvo, and recognizing patient deterioration.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Post CV Surgeries, titrating Cardiac Drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), Bipaps, and utilizing Airvo.
Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable with rapid turnaround and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The unit has a patient ratio of 5:1 and requires healthcare professionals skilled in recognizing clinical deterioration and managing complex cardiac cases.
