Hospital: We are a 48 bed high acuity ICU stepdown unit offering bedside cardiac care, 1:3 or 1:4 nurse to patient ratios. Our nurses specialize in caring for a specific subset of heart failure patients, those with LVADs. In addition, we provide care for open heart (CABG, valve repair, etc), heart transplant, kidney transplant, leg bypass, and a wide variety of CV's requiring chest tubes. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.

Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Implement and monitor patient care plans. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
