Staff NurseImmediate Supervisor: Nursing ManagerJob Type: Full-Time, Non-ExemptJob Summary: Staff Nurses are responsible for the daily medical care provided to the clients including medication administration, medical treatments, and ensuring attendance at medical appointments. The staff nurse is a vital resource to the clients and direct support professionals for medical issues, health status review after behavioral incidents and/or injuries.Safe administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by the client’s physician.Daily review of health records including, but not limited to bowel monitoring, medication administration records, and healthcare plans.Respond to acute illnesses and injuries for all clients with comprehensive care and communicate health status to the interdisciplinary team and physician.Ensuring client care is meeting the physical, emotional, and social needs of the individual.Monitoring the integrity of the healthcare plans, providing education to clients and direct support professionals as appropriateEmpowerment of clients to participate in their healthcare which includes but is not limited to administering self-administration programs, advocating that they take an active role in their interdisciplinary team meetings, and encouraging choice when appropriate.Certifications:CPR and First Aid certification.Mandatory overtime may be required.Work Hours: This position may require overtime based on client needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The candidate should be flexible and willing to adjust their schedule as needed to ensure client and regulatory success.I have read the job description above and understand its contents.Qualifications:Unencumbered Practical Nursing License through the Oklahoma Board of NursingOne+ year(s) of nursing experience preferred.Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to effectively work in Outlook and Microsoft programs.
