Job Type: Â Full-time (40 hours/week)
A reputable Title Company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to fully own the closing process for a variety of real estate transactions within the Texas market. Manage the full, end-to-end closing process for diverse residential and commercial real estate transactions in accordance with Texas standards.
Prepare, review, and finalize all critical closing documents, including Settlement Statements (CD/HUD-1) and related documents, ensuring full compliance with Texas Title Insurance Basic Manual rules and rates.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and clients, coordinating to facilitate a timely close.
Proactively troubleshoot complex transaction issues and ensure strict adherence to all title industry regulations, Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) requirements, and company auditing standards.
Work closely with the Title Examiner/Closer to resolve title curative matters prior to closing.
Maintain meticulous transaction files and records necessary for internal and regulatory audits.
Proven success with 2-3Â years of experience as an Escrow Officer/Closer in Texas is strongly preferred, and candidates must possess a current Texas Escrow Officer License issued by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) or be actively working towards obtaining it.
Deep, functional expertise in Texas title and closing procedures, best practices, and regulatory compliance, particularly relating to TDI regulations and promulgated forms.
Must be a Texas Notary Public or willing to obtain one immediately upon hire.
Experience with industry-leading software (e.g., Candidates bringing a small, existing book of business will have a negotiable salary and compensation structure (not required).
