C. is seeking a Carpenter to join the Corporate Facilities Management and Engineering Team at our Harahan office.This position will perform a variety of services in specialized building systems and finishes such as construction, door hardware, electronic access control, demolition, painting, flooring and renovation work.

Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs door hardware, electronic locks, and construction related problems.
Provides direction and training to less experienced Maintenance Generalists.
Plans, purchases, and lays out required materials for service and repair work.
Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
Completes small renovation projects and participates in completing punch list items at the end of small renovation projects handled by Corporate Facilities.
Perform routine facility inspections and identify repair or improvement opportunities.
Document completed work and update work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ten years’ experience as a skilled carpenter, painter, sheetrock finisher, and/or maintenance technician, or completion of a two-year technical degree, trade school or apprenticeship program in carpentry or a related field with five years in commercial construction.
Requires in-depth knowledge of commercial construction and maintenance fundamentals.
May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or operate a forklift and/or aerial lift.
May be required to work overtime and/or weekends to complete a project.
Must be detail oriented and precise when painting and finishing drywall.
Must be able to communicate effectively to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
May be required to be on call to provide telephone assistance as well as emergency response to the facility.
Experience with electrical work and/or plumbing work.
Some computer experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Current certification to operate a forklift, boom lift, and/or scissor lift
