Full Time: Systems Engineering Senior

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions to technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system outages and user support requests.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
Document issues and system configurations while maintaining inventory of system assets and compliance with VA standards
Collaborate with users and senior management to communicate problem statuses and implement continuous improvement methodologies
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud, with experience in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and configuration management
Experience with automation tools and monitoring tools, along with knowledge of network protocols and security best practices
