Head of Communications&PR

Groundworks New Mexico

Responsibilities
Lead strategic communications, media relations, digital engagement, messaging, storytelling, and public relations efforts. Supervise communications staff and consultants, manage social media and member communications, coordinate media outreach, and strengthen public awareness of Somos' mission, campaigns, and policy initiatives.

Additional Areas of Responsibility

Develop communications strategies

Provide media training

Oversee website and content development

Build relationships with journalists and community partners

Track communications outcomes

Support donor relations and organizational campaigns

Other Information/Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Strong commitment to social, economic, and racial justice.

Experience in communications, media relations, public affairs, journalism, advocacy, or nonprofit communications preferred.

Bachelor's degree and valid driver's license required.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
