Histotechnologist - Pathology Laboratory - Full Time

As our Histotechnologist , you will help Pathologists perform both routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples so they can diagnose disease .

You will be expected to be proficient in all areas of routine histologic prep (including paraffin embedding, microtomy, routine and special staining), surgical pathology/gross room activities (including accessioning, specimen handling and processing, and frozen section technique), and complex techniques such as enzyme histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, and immunofluorescence .

To be successful in this role, you must be knowledgeable in the areas of pathology, management, education, and regulations that impact the field of histotechnology, and be able to act as a technical resource for the department .

Bachelors Degree and successful completion of an accredited Histotechnology program, or

Bachelors Degree and one year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology laboratory within the last 5 years including fixation, embedding, microtomy, processing and staining, and successful completion of an accredited Histotechnology program
