Hospital ICU Registered Nurse - RN - PRN Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Nights

Compensation & Schedule
$20,000 sign‑on bonus eligibility. 12‑hour shift for full‑time requiring 36 hours/week with every other weekend. 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Location: In Person.

Responsibilities

Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

Document patient care provided.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.

Qualifications

Graduate of a professional school of nursing.

Current VA RN license or compact state RN license.

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Previous experience in acute care hospital preferred.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

American Heart Association ACLS certification within 6 months of hire required.
