About the Position
# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Telemetry – North Carolina Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 13-26 week assignments available. Patient ratios average 1:6 based on acuity. Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week period (flexible scheduling). Will follow unit rotation for floating assignments. Highlights: - Comprehensive cardiac care unit managing complex patient populations including post-CABG, TAVR, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology procedures- Advanced skill utilization including sheath removal, dysrhythmia management, cardiac drip titration, and chest tube management- Epic charting system with 24-hour structured orientation program- Interdisciplinary team support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialty services- 44-bed unit with robust procedural mix including Watchman procedures, valve replacements, and vascular surgeries- Opportunity to work with specialized equipment including femoral sheaths, TR bands, epicardial pacing wires, and telemetry monitoring Requirements: - Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license- Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry floor experience required- Previous travel nursing experience required (waived for candidates with 24+ months cardiac experience)- Current BLS,

ACLS

, and NIHSS certifications required- Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, stepdown/PCU care, sheath removal, dysrhythmia interpretation and management- Experience with cardiac drip management and titration, post-MI care, pre/post cardiac catheterization care- Competency with chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)- Willingness to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team and report during catastrophic events or disasters as required Preferred Qualifications: - Arterial line management experience- Wound care and wound vac experience- Previous charge nurse experience- Epic charting system familiarity Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a diverse cardiac patient population managing conditions from atrial fibrillation and CHF to complex post-surgical care following TAVR, valve replacements, and cardiac surgeries.
