Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and automation projects that improve operational reliability, safety, and efficiency. This role supports maintenance, capital projects, PLC systems, power distribution, and facility improvements while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and industry regulations.

Apply electrical and instrumentation engineering skills, managing projects to maintain and improve operational reliability, safety, and efficiency while simultaneously contributing to business expansion opportunities
Plan and manage base electrical project work in support of Operations, including pipeline and terminal maintenance activities, as well as facility improvements
Plan and manage electrical capital project work to enable business objectives, including scope development, cost estimation, initial design, quality review, execution, and close-out
Participate in the management of change process by evaluating the electrical technical aspects of proposed operational changes and determining potential impacts on reliability, safety, health, and the environment
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems
Develop and maintain control narratives describing automation at existing facilities, making recommendations as needed to improve and/or repair existing control systems
Steward long-term plans to improve reliability through the proactive replacement of aging electrical and automation systems
Provide support to Operations in the selection, maintenance, and installation of communication systems, including the specification of communication devices, protocols, and associated hardware
Review and evaluate electrical drawing packages (including power, instrumentation, controls, and automation)

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university required
