WAREHOUSE INVENTORY PERSON

Job Title
Responsible for completing and coordinating the day-to-day operational functions of packing, shipping, receiving material, supplies and finished parts as assigned. Backs up other departments when needed and completes plant improvement projects when assigned.
Responsibilities & Duties

Receives direction from the shift supervisor(s) and Plant Manager and provides general instruction and direction to production employees.
Covers tasks and duties in the absence of team members in areas including material handling, inventory, and safety.
Assists in training, coordinating, and motivating the production employees.
Examines material received, verifies part numbers, and checks against quality standards while unloading and loading material from vehicles and material storage locations throughout the warehouse.
Receives incoming inventory records on computer system and ensures current inventory is correctly placed and recorded.
Maintain assembly area and warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of material.
Completes warehouse improvement projects as assigned.
Follow and comply with all safety regulations, work rules and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to critically think and solve problems.
Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include a computer, overhead crane, metal cutting saw and various small hand tools. Requires the ability to pass forklift/aerial operator course and drive equipment.
