Position Overview
Join a mission-driven community health center in the Austin metro area (Austin, Bastrop, or Georgetown) as a Psychiatrist, where you ll have the opportunity to provide impactful outpatient mental health care while building a flexible, hybrid practice. Duties and Responsibilities

Provide outpatient psychiatric care for a diverse patient population (ages 5+ or 13+), including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
Manage common mental health conditions such as mood disorders, depression, and anxiety using evidence-based approaches
Conduct both in-person and telehealth visits to ensure accessible, high-quality care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support integrated behavioral health
Participate in crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
Support teaching and mentorship opportunities
Participate in limited on-call coverage (approximately 1 2 times per year)
Working Hours
This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some locations offering a later Tuesday shift. Providers work at a single clinic location in Austin, Bastrop, or Georgetown, with the option to work in a hybrid role after 90 days, depending on the telehealth patient panel. The role supports a manageable daily patient volume and built-in administrative time to ensure a balanced workflow. Care is delivered using the Athena EMR system.

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA license required
Experience or interest in serving underserved populations preferred
Comfortable treating children/adolescents in addition to adults
