Advanced Registered Nurse

Located in beautiful Northern California, Adventist Health Clear Lake has been a leading healthcare provider in Lake County since 1968. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and provide primary and specialty care services at clinics throughout the area to best serve our community. This area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with some of the best bass fishing, rural trails for hiking and biking, all the while being only two hours from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento Valley or Pacific Coast.
Maintains responsibility for providing expert clinical care in general or specialty areas. Assesses, plans and provides patient care in collaboration with the attending physician. Provides comprehensive health assessments, performs medical diagnosis of acute and chronic illnesses, writes prescriptions and formulates treatment plans. Diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions. Assists in medical/surgical care of patients and evaluates responses in collaboration with the attending/consulting physicians.
Education and Work Experience:

Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): Required
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Facility Specific License/Certifications:

~ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Constructs comprehensive medical histories. Evaluates patient behavior and explores patient's interpretation of health needs. Works under the scope of practice of a nurse practitioner and as an agent of the physician.
Instructs patients about health maintenance and preventive care. Makes referrals to health education classes when available. Provides continuity of care. Provides continuity of care including discussing the completion of treatment plans and administration of medications and injections. Oversees the maintenance of adequate, concise, legible and up-to-date documentation of patient care. Makes note of problem medical, medication and discharge records, drug allergies, lab orders, subjective and objective data, diagnostic procedures, patient education and treatment. Works under the scope of practice of a nurse practitioner and as an agent of the physician. Writes orders to increase, decrease, or change medication (subject to checking and medical consultation as indicated).
