Trane Technologies is seeking an Advanced Quality Planning Engineer - II to join our Trane Commerical Americas team. This position can be either located in Davidson, NC with travel to plants in SC or located in-plant in our Greenville, SC plant supporting New Product Development (NPD), Engineering to Order (ETO) projects and Design to Order (DTO) projects. The AQ Engineer will be responsible for ensuring flawless product launches while executing and optimizing quality management programs that assist internal staff, suppliers, customers, and partners in achieving company objectives related to cost, efficiency, and quality.Serve as a core team member for New Product Development, Engineering to Order and Design to Order projects at our Greenville, Newberry and Columbia SC locations.Support project teams during meetings and gate reviews by supplying data for the quality topics necessary for successful project launches throughout various phases.Monitor operations performance, conduct risk assessments, report findings, and support improvement programs within the plant.Maintain strong Shop-floor presence during prototype builds (MAB/MVB) and pre-launch phases to proactively identify, investigate and resolve quality concerns in real timeCollaborate with project teams and plant teams to resolve quality issues that arise during the prototype stage and early builds.Leverage voice of the customer (VOC), field warranty data, and parts return to proactively drive design, process and supplier-level quality improvements during early phases of product development.Participate in investigations during Early Launch Containment (ELC) and work closely with supplier quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and maintain high standards throughout the supply chain.Ensure compliance with our ISO Quality System, meeting all deliverables for customers and regulatory bodies.Travel can be up to 50% pending on workload and locations of projectsSkills and Competencies:Deliver 100% on-time completion of multiple projects simultaneously.Monitor and report early launch quality KPI`s such as First Pass Yield (FPY), Scrap rate, and PPM.Able to present project material confidently to Product/Portfolio PGTs and senior leadership teams if needed.Demonstrate competence and consistent performance on projects ranked at various levels of complexity using the following tools and techniques:Conduct statistical validation of critical to quality (CTQ) features, including capability studies (Cp, CpK) and control charts for launch readiness.Participate in component design and drawing reviewsEstablish, track, manage, and report on PPAP.Develop in-process measurement strategies, and gage developmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field OR 3+ years of experience as AQE.Previous manufacturing experience is required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.In-depth knowledge of various quality system methodologies, including Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and GD&TPreferred Qualifications:Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and or ASQ Certified Quality EngineerExperience with ISO Quality Systems and regulatory compliance.all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, pregnancy, age, marital status, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any legally protected status.Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$97,406.66 - $135,834.99Compensation Type:SalaryIncentive Eligible:NoSales Commission Eligible:NoThrive at work and at home:Benefits kick in on DAY ONE for you and your family, including health insurance and holistic wellness programs that include generous incentives – WE DARE TO CARE!Family building benefits include fertility coverage and adoption/surrogacy assistance.Paid time off includes 15 vacation days, 9 paid holidays, 3 floating holidays, sick leave, and additional options to support volunteer and parental leave.Educational and training opportunities through company programs along with tuition assistance and student debt support.
