Porter - Weekends Only

AFaith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents.

We are looking for a Porter - Perdiem (as needed) .

$16 per hour.

Porter Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

One (1) year experience performing industrial or hotel cleaning or equivalent, preferably in a hospital or nursing home environment.

Must be able to speak, read, write English.

Porter Working Conditions

Must assist in the evacuation of residents. Must be able to lift laundry, furniture, equipment, supplies, etc., May be required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays as necessary.

May be subject to hostile and sometimes upset residents.

Strip and refinish floor surfaces.

Dispose of refuse and trash in accordance with established sanitation procedures.

Wash windows.

Set up for special events, moving furniture and fixtures.

Transport linen from all floors to laundry facilities.

Operate pressure cleaning equipment.
