Operating Room Nurse
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse with a strong background in surgical procedures and patient care. The ideal candidate will possess the required certifications and experience to provide high-quality support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and management of surgical procedures.
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver high-quality care.
Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate appropriate interventions.
Manage IV placements as needed.
Qualifications
Certifications: BLS (must be AHA), CNOR preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
Proficient in starting IVs.
Work Environment
This position offers a structured work schedule with no weekends, no on-call requirements, and no holiday shifts. The role involves handling a significant number of cases per day, ranging from 40 to 60, utilizing EMR (Epic) for documentation and patient management. Scrubs will be provided in maroon color.
Orientation and Training
New hires will undergo one week of floor orientation to ensure a smooth integration into the team and workflow.
