Licensed Vocational Nurse - Emergency Department (Full-Time, Evenings/Nights)

Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner.

Administer medications, injections, and perform catheterizations following sterile techniques and safety protocols.

Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection and processing, and imaging procedures to support accurate diagnoses.

Manage airway care, ventilator support, tube feeding to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote recovery and well-being.

Maintain clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications Valid RN or LPN license in good standing with the state licensing board.

Experience working with electronic health records PCC and familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding standards.

Demonstrated expertise in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency room (ER), trauma centers (Level I & II), or hospital medicine units.

Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including IV, medication administration, airway management, and infection control practices.

Prior experience in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, or home & community care settings is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and patient assessment skills.

Ability to work effectively across all shifts—day, evening, night—and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Requirements This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background screening.
