Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a busy Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of recent ED experience and multiple advanced certifications.
Details

• 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County
• Chest pain and primary stroke center handling daily volumes of around 120 patients
• Cares for some inpatient boarders but will not float out of the unit
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 as needed
• 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three shifts per week
• Up to 3 weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun) per pay period
• No on-call requirements

Requirements
Active KS or Multi-State compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of ED experience within the last 12 months required
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Conscious Sedation Competency certifications required
TNCC certification preferred
Additional Information
Must be comfortable handling inpatient boarders and adaptable to rapidly changing conditions
Self-motivated, team-oriented individuals with a positive attitude preferred
Holiday coverage required for one holiday from each group: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, and New Year's Eve or Day
Facility is a nicotine-free campus
Accepts local and travel candidates at the same bill rate
