About this Unit:
The Pediatric Med/Surg Float Pool RNs are able to float to the Pediatric Med/Surg units.The critical care RNs function in the role of charge flyer in which they serve as a resource for the entire pediatric hospital, making staffing recommendations, as well as are members of all emergency response teams, including code blue, rapid response team, and trauma activation team.
This position will be working 0.7 FTE (56 hours every two weeks) on the NIGHT shift, 8 hour shifts and every other weekend.
The RN role offers an additional $2.00/hour for being in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool.
Fairview offers a nurse residency program for eligible new graduate RNs taking this role with the organization! Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
Involves the patient, family and other health team members in gathering data.
Uses an ongoing, systematic process to gather relevant information (biological, psychological, spiritual and social aspects) from patient and family.
Involves the patient, family and other health team members in evaluating care.

MN Registered Nurse (RN) License

• 1+ year of current Pediatric RN Experience
• OR Will Consider New Grad with Internship/Capstone/Preceptroship in Pediatrics

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or BAN
~1-3 years of nursing experience
