Purchasing Coordinator

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Purchasing Coordinator position in our Cincinnati, Ohio location. This position provides administrative support to the Purchasing Team and Purchasing Manager through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for the distribution of time sensitive material and corresponding with vendors to obtain confirmations of orders. This work is performed under general supervision. May oversee tactical purchasing operations, such as the issuance of purchase orders or the payment of invoices.

Collects and provides initial analysis of data to be used by the procurement teams.

Produces reports tracking contract expiration dates or spending for assigned categories or departments.

Oversee new vendor setup in procurement or purchasing systems, and ensures that systems are appropriately maintained and updated.

Order and maintain office supplies for department.

High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support in a business or construction environment.
• Attention to detail for accurate data entry and report preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable working under general supervision and taking initiative when needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, move within the office to retrieve files, and meet with employees in their offices or conference room.

The employee must be able to work at a computer (reading and keying) for extended periods of time. This role may require communicating verbally and in writing one on one, in small groups, as well as presenting to larger groups of employees. Employees may be required to travel for job related business.
