Remote Architect

Job Description
We are hiring a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect for one of our retail clients.

This is a fully remote, permanent role (working EST timezone). Candidate must be eligible for FTE employment without sponsorship.

The role will be paid at an annual salary of $190,000-220,000 plus benefits.

This is a hands‑on SFCC Architect role with Senior Developer skills.

Coding & Technical Expertise

Actively write, review and maintain code in multiple languages

Expertise in: JavaScript (Client Side / NodeJS), Java and Python

Expertise in: SFCC Server Side Scripting

Great to have: RPG

Development Operations: Continuous Integration and Delivery:

Preferred: Application Containerization (Docker), CI/CD Pipeline Development, Linux Server

Administration

Great to have: Application Orchestration (Kubernetes), Bitbucket Pipelines

Version Control Systems:

Preferred: Git

Great to have: Bitbucket

Test Automation:

Great to have: Jest (JavaScript), JUnit (Java), pytest (Python), Selenium or other integration

Ticketing / Documentation Systems

Preferred: Jira, Confluence

What You’ll Be Doing

Maintaining Existing Applications:

Code Updates

Upgrading 3rd party libraries

Upgrading container images

Monitoring / Applying Security Patches

Trouble shooting / resolving complex production issues

Release Management for Applications:

Maintaining repository branches

Coordinating Release / Roll Back strategies with different teams

Ensuring code is properly integrated, tested and deployed

Coding new projects on a highly customized site

Providing Technical Application Assistance for other teams

Helping form and follow Coding Standards / Best Practices

Work with Architects for System Architecture and Scalability

Writing / Maintaining test automation scripts

Writing / Maintaining technical / user documentation
