Senior Counsel (Sales and Distribution)

Our client is a global technology platform, listed and employing over 20,000 worldwide. They have a need to hire a global products lead counsel which can be based in the US or Asia.
Commercial: 50%

You will be the lead counsel on global project development and distribution.
This role will work closely with senior stakeholders (business and legal) to align regional markets with global oversight, key teams include: product development, launch and distribution.
This role will act as an advisory function to help business (product focused) teams manage complex commercial and regulatory landscapes.
You will support senior stakeholders and country managers with regards to product, sales and marketing.
New products launched will face cross-border challenges and regulatory obstacles, your role (with the help of in-country counsel, legal leaders and external vendors) will be to anticipate and predict ahead of time where resources should be allocated to overcome challenges.
You will work with colleagues in the US, UK and Asia to ensure sales and marketing are aligned with products to localised laws and regulations.
You will liaise and work with colleagues on global products / projects, many of which will crossover with the US, EMEA and Asia.

Education and law firm credentials should be tier 1 and across international practices

• Mixture of law firm and In-House experience preferred but not essential (high performing lawyers working in the TMT practices of a tier 1 law firm / with secondments accepted)
• Experience handling commercial and regulatory tech / FS related issues - desirable
• SD Legal was established in 2018 and now with physical office locations across Europe and Asia.
