Enrolled Nurse - Immediate Start

Provide fundamental knowledge-based care to assigned patients under close supervision.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care based on age-specific needs.

Administer medications and perform procedures per established policies and guidelines.

Assume responsibility for care coordination, focusing on patient education and self-management.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to influence care outcomes.

Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary care plans.

Incorporate patient and family knowledge, values, and beliefs into care planning.

Delegate elements of care based on patient needs, safety, and team member capability.

Participate in orientation, unit-based educational activities, and ongoing continuing education.

Maintain competency for continued personal and professional growth.

Apply evidence-based practice and research findings to patient care.

Participate in unit-based performance improvement and cost-effective care initiatives.

Meet the needs of Veterans, families, visitors, and staff with courtesy and respect.

Demonstrate sensitivity to age, developmental, and cultural needs of a diverse patient population.

Protect sensitive data in accordance with the Privacy Act and VA policies.

Report any information security or privacy incidents immediately.
