Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level III trauma center on the Central California Coast, requiring ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and recent EPIC experience.

Details

Emergency Department setting within a 162-bed acute care facility with a county-designated trauma center

Cares for patients across the lifespan from newborns to geriatrics

Night shift schedule of 3x12s or 4x12s, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

May be required to float to Twin Cities as needed

Requirements

Active CA RN license required

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from an AHA or ARC approved vendor

TNCC required within 6 months of hire or transfer

NIHSS certification required

Minimum one year of acute care experience required

Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

Recent EPIC experience required

No prior adverse licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

Performs triage assessments, treatment, and discharge care for ED patients

Notifies Emergency MD of abnormal signs, symptoms, and vital signs

Provides medication administration, IV therapy including blood products, and catheter/drain care

Accurately interprets ECG rhythms and manages life-threatening emergencies

Responds to Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations

Position represented by CNA

No radius rule applies and local candidates receive the same rate as travelers

Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered

Travelers may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
