Rehabilitation Caseworker
Jobtailor
Advocate for claimants by providing access to community services such as financial assistance, legal aid, and housing
Develop, plan, and implement programs to improve the comfort and care of patients and their families
Advise family caregivers regarding medical decisions
Formulate care plans using clinical expertise and judgment
Provide ongoing support to claimants and their families
Handle complex issues and refer only the most complex issues to higher‑level staff
Provide emotional support to clients dealing with trauma, illness, or disability related to claims
Help claimants understand the claims process through clear communication
Connect clients with healthcare services, financial aid programs, rehabilitation services, and legal assistance
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of client interactions and referrals
Conduct research to remain current on developments in social work
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
Master's degree in social work or a related field
Professional master's level license, such as LCSW, LMHC, or LPC
3 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Familiarity with disability claim management concepts
Understanding of medical terminology, pathology, and anatomy
Articulate verbal and writing skills
Decision‑making ability
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work with confidential information
Moderate skills with Microsoft Office and other software applications
Customer service skills
Stress tolerance
Ability to multitask and prioritize
High attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Results‑driven approach
High attention to departmental and company procedures and practices
Disability and insurance industry experience preferred
