American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day-shift role requiring procedural experience and a PA or compact RN license.
Details

Operating Room unit within an acute care hospital setting
Floating required to SPU, Pain Center, and PACU
Pain Center consists of 2 procedure rooms and 5 office rooms
Patient ratio is 1:4 in Pre/Post and 1:2 in the Procedure Room
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
No weekend requirements
No call requirements
Requirements

Active PA or compact RN license required
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 3 years of RN experience required, including 2 years in specialty
Procedural experience required (GI/OR/Moderate Sedation)
Pre/Post op and Outpatient Surgery Center experience required
Teaching hospital experience required
LTAC experience required
Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
Valid professional references and copies of certifications required
Additional Information

Care for patients experiencing acute, chronic, breakthrough, and neuropathic pain
Perform and support nerve block procedures including brachial plexus, celiac plexus, epidural, and stellate ganglion blocks
Manage pharmacological pain interventions including opioids, non-opioids, and adjuvant therapies
Monitor for complications of regional anesthesia and signs of toxicity or medication misuse
Provide care to special populations including confused, non-communicative, and older adult patients
Perform office duties such as discharge instructions, follow-up calls, and medication reconciliation
Use standardized pain scales including FLACC, Wong-Baker Faces, and numerical rating scales
Ceil Blue scrubs required
Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a different rate
Local shift differential applies
No prior travel experience required, first-time travelers may be considered
