Fast Hiring DecisionResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED). Responsible for direct patient care, rapid assessment, triage, emergency response, and critical clinical decision-making.Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department (ED)Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritization of careRespond to acute changes, trauma, and life-threatening conditionsInterpret labs, diagnostics, and patient symptomsCommunicate patient status with physicians and interdisciplinary teamsAdminister medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatmentsEducate patients and families on care and discharge instructionsEnsure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and patient safety standardsReport suspected abuse/neglect per regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate, timely documentationQualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. Current and valid state RN License. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):1. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
