Plant Master Electrician

Position Overview Under the general direction of the Plant Engineer the Controls Electrician is responsible for the integration, programming, and troubleshooting of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), Process Automation Controllers (PAC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Servo Systems, Robotics, and Industrial Networks for systems to support productivity and/or quality improvements for process and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities • Under the general direction of the Plant Engineer the Controls Electrician is responsible for the integration, programming, and troubleshooting of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), Process Automation Controllers (PAC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Servo Systems, Robotics, and Industrial Networks for systems to support productivity and/or quality improvements for process and packaging equipment.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of associated technical documentation and support technician training and development processes.
• Lead or provide support of focus improvement projects.
• Troubleshooting of various PLC and networking systems.
• Provide training & support to EET’s, maintenance, and operating technicians.
• Complete preventative maintenance on electrical, control, and networking systems.
• Provide support for new equipment installations.

High school diploma or GED.

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.

Product quality specifications

Quality standards

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
