Dietary Aides/ Kitchen Staff

The dietary aide supports the effective operation of the communitys kitchen by maintaining properly sanitized and a sufficient stock of dishes and assist the cook with meal prep to ensure the orderly flow of the kitchen systems.

Position: Dietary Aide

Status: Full-Time

Shift: (4 ON / 2 OFF Rotation)

Sets up tables in the health center dining room(s) and breaks them down after the meals

Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center pantries

Transports all required non-food items to and from the health center pantries

Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders

Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms

Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service

High School Diploma or GED a plus

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions

Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not required

Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
