Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30PCompensation: $23/hour increases based on experience
SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a COTA to work in our specialized outpatient rehabilitation program. Louis Metro area serving individuals recovering from a traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. Under the direct supervision of licensed OT, assists with the implementation of therapy plan of care in the Day Room Setting
Assists patients to/from mats, wheelchairs, other equipment as appropriate; Documentation and billing/charging of skilled activities as applicable
Plans and transports for Community Reintegration Outings
Maintains the clinic and clinic equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Transports patients to /from therapy as needed
Associate's Degree in an OT Assistant program required
Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required
Acquisition of a Class E license allowing for the operation of the bus
First aid certification
Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center
