Part Time Front Desk Receptionist

Pay

$17–$20 an hour (Part‑time)

Principal Responsibilities

Welcoming participants, members, staff, and guests into the building

Ensuring front area security

Answering phones and directing calls to the proper person/department

Maintaining the front desk clean, tidy, and fully supplied

Checking participants, guests, and staff in in accordance with current COVID‑19 health regulations

Answering customers’ questions and addressing complaints

Verifying members with their key cards

Taking payments for activities, memberships, and guest passes

Assisting with bulk mail delivery and other assigned tasks

Scheduling appointments for food pantry and physical‑education activities for guests and members in accordance with NYS Health & CDC regulations

Managing the sign‑in and sign‑out book for after‑school and physical‑education programs

Overseeing afternoon dismissal/parent pick‑up of after‑school children from the front desk

Qualifications

High school diploma (additional diplomas considered an advantage)

Availability: Sundays, evening or morning hours; flexibility required

Hourly rate: $17.00–$20.00 per hour

Salary

Under $25,000 per year
