Summary: The Busser/Food Runner will provide excellent customer service and hospitality to our Residents and Guests. The Busser/Food Runner oversees setting and clearing tables in our dining venues to provide a clean and tidy environment. As the Busser/Food Runner you are passionate about the importance of hospitality, safety, assisting the waitstaff, and providing quality dining services for our residents and guests within the community.
Responsibilities and Duties: Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables, setting decorations, service plates, and utensils
Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages, and cleaning chalkboards
Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, refilling waterglasses, and being attentive to additional needs
Supports waitstaff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands and busser stations.
Picks up food for orders placed by the service associates and delivers the meal to our residents and guests
Assists the kitchen and service associates as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our guests dining experience
Sets up the frontline with the equipment, plate ware, and smallware needed to effectively serve all food products
Keep stations restocked throughout the shift
Garnishes finished entrees according to house specifications and procedures
Completes all side work in the front and/or back of the house as assigned and scheduled by the members of the management team
QualificationsEducation and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent
1 year of restaurant experience in any capacity
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed, including weekends.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous
Working Conditions: Specific physical requirements are outlined in accordance with the American Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) Requires interaction with co-workers, residents or vendors
Occasional weekend, evening or night work if needed to ensure shift coverage
On-call on an as needed basis
100% time spent on site in community setting
