A Ride Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment to ensure safe operation. This position focuses on repair, construction, troubleshooting park rides, and establishing preventive maintenance and inspection programs that maximize uptime and minimize costs.

Reports to: Maintenance Director

Travel: None

Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls ensuring compliance with manufacturer and park standards.

Diagnose and repair park equipment and miscellaneous items.

Respond promptly to maintenance calls.

Install and repair park features and structures.

Possess mechanical knowledge of park rides.

Assist in ride installation and dismantling.

Address plumbing, electrical, welding, HVAC concerns using specialized skills.

Follow OSHA safety standards and safety policies.

Report safety concerns or ideas to the Maintenance Director.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas.

Perform other duties as needed for park operations.

At least 2 years of verifiable mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial or amusement setting.

Knowledge of mechanical principles such as gear ratios, torque, and use of hand tools.

Ability to complete ride-specific training and competency tests.

Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, and chemicals.

Compliance with drug-free workplace policies, including pre-employment drug testing.

Move around the park and maintenance areas.

Navigate confined spaces and elevated platforms.

Work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.

Environmental Tolerance

Work outdoors in various weather conditions and noise levels.
