Head of Engineering Programme Management

Annapolis Micro Systems, Inc. is looking for a Program Manager willing to learn and grow with us, while also owning and driving our customers’ programs.

The Program Manager is expected to be the main point of contact and a representative of AMS, working to maintain positive relationships between the customer and internal stakeholders. The Program Manager will oversee customer requirements, ensuring that they are clearly defined and addressed by appropriate internal AMS contributors. They will also be required to manage internal projects that support customer programs, or overall business improvement.

The Program Manager will work with all groups within Annapolis, as projects and programs frequently requirement engagement from all departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Contracts, etc.). They will also be involved with the entire order process, from pre-Sales RFPs/RFQs to long-term customer order sustainment.

Own and coordinate customer programs from inception to fulfillment
Gather and communicate customer requirements
Manage both internal and external relationships related to the program
Visit/communicate with customers to discuss customer’s requirements, schedule, and budget, as well as Annapolis’ capabilities and solutions for a program
Lead/participate in Customer Progress Meetings
Communicate with customers and FAEs to resolve technical issues
Compile and organize business and technical documents/information regarding each customer program (including SOWs, Requirement and Specifications, Development cost estimates, Schedules, Proposals, etc.)
Provide feedback about technical customer requirements to Product Development group to ensure Annapolis is developing the correct products and features in the future
Interface with Annapolis’ FAEs, Engineering, Sales and work closely with Senior Management

Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
History of owning communication within an organization and externally with customers
Prior experience with translating between internal stakeholders and customer stakeholders
History of managing contract flow downs and tiered document structures
Previous experience with managing and fostering customer relationships, virtually or in-person
Prior history managing Engineering or product developmental efforts
Proven track record of managing multiple efforts simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.)
Prior involvement in process improvement or business process efforts
Experience with IMS ownership and creation (Identification of Risks, Implementation of Risk mitigation plans, Assigning task duration and impact)
BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical background is highly preferred
Prior Security/Intelligence/Defense Industry experience is highly preferred
At least two years of experience within a program or project management role in the aerospace/military electronics sector
