Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent… Rudolph and Sletten is looking for a Senior Field Engineer who primarily committed to field operations. This includes working to ensuring plans and specifications are being adhered to with quality control measures implemented. This position reports directly to the Project Manager, Field Supervision or other assigned supervisors.
Demonstrates understanding of standard concepts, practices and procedures within construction field.
Interprets designs and drawings for crafts installing materials and qualifications
Understands necessary control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials or equipment.
Understands subcontractor job specifications and scope of work.
Able to coordinate with Subcontractors and Suppliers.
Responsible for the review and maintenance of subcontractor non-compliance and coordinates with QA/QC.
Researches and resolves drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors.
Researches and proposes solutions to quality control issues.
Prepares field design change requisitions and “as built” drawings, as required.
Demonstrates schedule understanding in coordination with construction logistics and construction sequencing.
Prepares and disseminates all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., Understands company’s quality control plan and takes weekly photos to document any quality control issues.
Conducts value engineering functions.
Aware of target vs. Sensitive to Environmental issues and management of them.
Helps to create a safe work site and identifies job hazards to reduce danger.
Understands company safety program and participates in safety inspections.
Participates in job walks and documents and reports findings.
Understand the impacts of project performance on insurance and bond.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of discipline, construction technology, design, applicable codes standards, etc., Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Analyzes and resolves construction process problems and issues and effectively communicates and interfaces with all levels of personnel.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or four years’ experience in the construction management field of work;
Minimum five (5) years of experience as an entry level Project Engineer working on projects in the field.
Experience with large commercial projects; Works well at project sites in the field environment
Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems; Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Knowledge of AutoCAD product line.
Knowledge of scheduling, estimating and cost software.
