ER RN Job Details
Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract

End Date: January 5, 2026

Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Weekdays, some weekends, rotating holidays

Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent emergency room nursing experience (ER RN experience required)

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (required for emergency nursing jobs)

Epic charting experience required

Previous travel nurse experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing

ER Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a hospital setting

Administer emergency medications, blood products, and IV therapies

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and respond to STEMI and stroke emergencies

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including pharmacy, respiratory services, and interpretation services

Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic electronic health records

Participate in rotating holiday and weekend coverage as part of the ER nursing team
