American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring active IL licensure and at least 3 years of OR nursing experience.

Acute care setting in a Level 1 trauma facility with 15 operating suites

Handles 25-45 cases per day across specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic

Evening shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 1445-2315

8-hour shifts with various start times (0645, 1045, 1445)

Weekend and holiday call required, approximately every 3rd to 4th weekend

Weeknight call required approximately once per week

Uses Epic EMR

Charge RN available 24/7 and does not take a patient assignment

Support staff includes 1-2 surgical techs per patient and 3-4 CNAs during the day (reduced to 1 by 7pm)

Active IL RN license required

Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required

casual professional dress required when entering/leaving the facility

Unit-specific orientation is 1 week

Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced local rate

COVID vaccination is not required for this position
