At Morehouse School of Medicine we’re leading the creation and advancement of health equity. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director, the Admissions Representatives will act as the primary processor for applications including updating application checklists, entering decisions, providing ongoing application updates to applicants and program leaders. The incumbent will audit and evaluate applicant files, generate weekly communications to applicants, and serve as the initial point of contact for internal Program Managers/Directors. The incumbent advises prospective and current applicants on application requirements and processes using phone, email, text and/or live chat systems.

Bachelor’s Degree. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Must type a minimum of 45 WPM and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

preferably in Registrar Office or Student Affairs Office.

Working knowledge and experience using Ellucian Banner Student System, American Medical College Application Service ( AMCAS ), CollegeNET, or any other related Student Information System.

Assist with the annual screening of applications. Manage, track, and update all applications

• Maintain application hard and electronic files.
• Manage the MD Admissions email inbox in rotation with the Admissions Team.
• Coordinate, schedule, and conduct campus tours in rotation with the Admissions team.
• Answer phones and emails in rotation with the Admissions team.
• Provide assistance with the coordination and/or support of weekly interview days, committee meetings, workshops, campus tours, online recruitment forums, event announcements, monthly communications, and student ambassador events.
• Meet with prospective students and advise application requirements.
• Attend and assist with all Admissions events to include, but not limited to: New Student Orientations, Annual Admissions Committee Workshops, Open Houses, Recruitment Fairs. Provide support and assistance to the assigned interview day host.
• Correspond and develop rapport with prospective students, health advisors, external vendors, and professional organizations.
• Participate in local and national travel for recruitment to include in-state and out-of-state public & private colleges/universities, graduate health fairs, and national conferences. Assist in the development of recruitment and resource materials.
• As an exempt employee, some weekend and evening work may be required.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
