Security Officers for School Events

CSSI officers receive hands-on training through our in-house Academy — including situational training, first aid, CPR, advanced certifications, and weapons training — that goes well beyond state requirements.
We are hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to provide security at school campuses in the Beaufort County, SC area. This position follows the school calendar with a consistent Monday-through-Friday daytime schedule. Summers, school holidays, and breaks follow the district schedule.
Provide armed security coverage at assigned school campus(es)
Monitor access points and control entry to school buildings and grounds
Respond to security threats, emergencies, and safety incidents
Coordinate with school administration, faculty, and local law enforcement
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems as applicable
Serve as a visible deterrent and professional security presence
This position works Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, following the school district calendar. Weekends and school holidays are off. 22.50 – $23.50 per hour, based on site assignment. CSSI uses a post-based pay structure — your hourly rate is determined by the site you are assigned to. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a work week.
Valid SC SLED Armed Security Officer Registration (required — this is an armed position)
Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
Availability to work Monday through Friday during school hours
High school diploma or GED
Prior law enforcement, military, or armed security experience
School or campus security experience
Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and incident reporting
