Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry
Nights, 36 hours per week.
Assignment Details
Contract length: 13-26 weeks accepted. Weekend requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible).
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
Traveler experience required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, sheath removal, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Post MI care, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath management, management of cardiac drips (no titration), titration of cardiac drips, chest tube management (Emerson/Pleuravac), external CPAP/BIPAP, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management.
Preferred skills: Arterial line management, wound care/wound vac, and charge experience.
Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
Manage complex patient needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Prepare and assist with various cardiac procedures.
Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.

Compliance / Notes
Contract staff will be assigned to work during mass casualty or disaster events. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. Orientation: 24 hours.
