Green Star Wetland Plant Farm is currently hiring up to three short-term labor positions on a loading crew to assist with preparing and loading plants for delivery, July through August of 2024. Prepare plants for transport alongside Green Star staff. You will be trained to weed and prune aquatic plants as needed.
- Load plants on a 26’ box truck together with other loading crew members.
- You may be asked to work on other tasks with the crew as needed.
7am-2pm, Monday through Thursday, July 1 to August 31. An additional week may be needed and will be confirmed during the project.
· Mornings loading a 26’ box truck, afternoons prepping plants for the next day’s load.
Wage: $15 hourly
Ability to take direction and work with others as a crew.
- Heat tolerance and experience with outdoor work is required.

Green Star Wetland Plant Farm LLC is based in Alvin TX, 30 miles south of Houston. We provide native wetland plants for wetland restoration, green infrastructure, and landscape projects. Green Star plants can be seen at Houston Botanic Garden, Memorial Park Eastern Glades, Houston Zoo’s Texas Wetland Exhibit, and sites across Texas. We are dedicated to providing excellent wetland plant stock to regenerate the beauty and function of wetlands for Texas and the Gulf Coast.
