Job Title : Manufacturing Engineering Intern - ME (Mechanical Focus)

Job Class : Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Pay Rate : Dependent upon experience
Location: Orlando, FL (On-site)
Position Summary: This position is for an engineering intern student majoring in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering major.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Design and assemble mechanical fixtures
Generate SOLIDWORKS drawings for various mechanical components
Review qualification reports and create matrices of compliance
Test and document product performance
Document procedures and processes
Assist in other assigned duties
Work on various other projects and processes as needed
Supervises : None.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Proficiency and familiarity with SOLIDWORKS.
Must be an enthusiastic self-starter, motivated to work independently and work collaboratively with team members across multiple disciplines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work closely with manufacturing engineers on a variety of tasks, which may include electrical/electronic and mechanical assemblies, process documentation, data analysis, and related activities.
Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license
Education, Experience and Training: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advance Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment: This role is performed on‑site and requires regular in‑office attendance.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times.
Ability to safely climb, descend, and work from ladders, stairs, and elevated platforms at verifying heights.
Work is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments.
