Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing activities. ED Nurse - Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Performs NIHSS and bedside swallow, assists with telemedicine consult and physician examination/evaluation of thrombolytic therapy inclusion/exclusion criteria, mixing, administration and monitoring of thrombolytic therapy if patient deemed a candidate, preparation of patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated, assumes patient care while in the Emergency Department. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke related training annually. Registered Nurse (RN)

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. Requires a minimum of 2 years emergency room experience.

Current Florida nursing license.

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
