Job Description:
The RN in the ICU will provide direct patient care to critically ill adult patients. Responsibilities include administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans. The RN will be required to read and interpret telemetry strips and manage advanced cardiac life support.
Responsibilities:

Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications.
Troubleshoot and manage ventilator and respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilator settings.
Float to PCU and MedSurg as needed, maintaining similar nurse-to-patient ratios.
Document patient care activities accurately in EPIC system.
Participate in one shift of unit-specific orientation.
Maintain compliance with all department policies, including fingernail and exam requirements.
Requirements:

Current RN license and ability to meet a 50-mile radius rule.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Ability to pass skills examination during orientation with a minimum of 90%.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
License to submit is Yes; no BSN required.
