• Required Work Setting Experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU, IMC, Stepdown
• Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response teams
• Required Cardiovascular Skills: Post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, sheath removal, TR Band
• Required Gastrointestinal Skills: Feeding tube care and management
• Required Genitourinary/Renal Skills: Pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure
• Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, PICC line management, starting IVs
• Required Medication Skills: Heparin protocols, manage cardiac drips without titration, manage vasoactive drips without titration, PCA, procedural sedation administration, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips
• Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Experience: Craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury
• Required Orthopedics Case Experience: Ortho trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacements
• Required Plastic Surgery Case Experience: Skin grafts, surgical drains
• Required Respiratory Skills: Care of ventilated patients, chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of ABGs, nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy management
• Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation precautions, wound care, wound vac

Description:
Job Description Position / Specialty: IMC/Stepdown/PCU RN
Shift: Night
Ratios/Daily Caseload: Patient ratio is typically 1:4.
Charge may take up to 4 patients if needed.
Weekend requirement: Will work every other weekend.
Clinician will float as needed to meet facility demands.
Candidates are expected to have previous experience in telemetry and rapid response situations.
Fast-paced unit with a high throughput of patients.
Nurses are expected to manage multiple responsibilities while delivering quality care to diverse patient populations.
Experience in teaching hospitals and Level I Trauma preferred.
Must be able to work with ventilators and tracheostomies.
All nurses are expected to adhere to safety protocols and maintain high standards of patient care.
This role may involve managing various patient diagnoses, requiring a diverse skill set.
The facility holds Magnet designation and operates a comprehensive acute care hospital setting.
