Emergency Room Nurse Night

Role Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health to provide compassionate, high-acuity psychiatric care to adults and patients in crisis across inpatient and emergency settings. This role involves delivering evidence-based nursing interventions, performing mental status and safety assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The nurse will float and cross-train across various psychiatric units and emergency pods, supporting a dynamic, team-based environment focused on patient safety and recovery.
Responsibilities Include Providing age-appropriate psychiatric nursing care
Monitoring patient responses and safety
Supporting interdisciplinary collaboration
Advocating for patients and families
Participating in cross-training activities to expand skills
Qualifications And Skills Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma with relevant experience
Active RN license in the state
CPR certification from the American Heart Association
Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Experience Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
Emergency or crisis stabilization experience
Acute or critical care nursing background
