Inventory ControllerWe are seeking a dedicated Inventory Controller to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing inventory processes, ensuring efficient distribution and storage of materials, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization in a dynamic lab environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services, document receipts, and reconcile products against packing lists.Organize all materials, supplies, and specimens in appropriate storage areas and inspect stocks to ensure inventory control and security.Prepare and organize materials for shipment to other locations and maintain accurate shipping records.Comply with all safety regulations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.Maintain the facility, including the laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, in accordance with company standards and SOPs.Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and procedures.Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and data entry.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with SAP is preferred.Prior experience in material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics is beneficial.Experience with inventory control, order picking, heavy lifting, RF scanner, and material handling.The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with opportunities for additional hours on every other Saturday. The role involves frequently walking, standing, and bending, with occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens.
