Rehab PTA - Full Time

Facility Location: Schedule: Full-Time (Flexible Schedules Available)

Provides physical therapy treatment to patients according to the established treatment plan under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Contributes to the development, implementation of, and progression of patient treatment and modifies treatment as necessary. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.

Provides physical therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the A.A. for the Physical Therapist Assistant.

Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelines.

Assures delivery of quality care.

Participates in the discharge planning process to ensure continued patient care as needed and provide patient and family instruction.

Maintains the clinical expertise of the PTA through continuing education.

Represents the Physical Therapy Department to family, visitors, and personnel and attends care conferences as requested.

Secures equipment for patients and department supplies as needed.

Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.
